Brief Description: A very common plant in the northern Sahara that grows in gypsum or loamy soils and reaches a height of 20 to 40 centimeters tall. It is perhaps one of the more important sources of fodder for camels during the dry season in the Western Sahara. When other plants are hibernating or succumbed to desiccation, this plant is still green.
