Thank you for submitting information to NMO Enforcement Authority on 16
th
May 2014 in
relation to Brazilian timber being placed on the UK market. As the competent authority
responsible for enforcing the EU Timber Regulation, NMO is obliged to carefully consider
substantiated concerns from third parties, and as such the information submitted by
Greenpeace has been carefully scrutinised and processed through our market intelligence
model.

Whilst I cannot comment about the specifics of our operational activities, I can confirm that
NMO is actively investigating the claims made by Greenpeace and we will come back to you
if we need further clarification on the information you have supplied.
