MATERIALS

• 90cm (1yd) white tone-on-tone print fabric (background)

• 60cm ( 3/4yd) yellow stripe print fabric (appliqué background, Border 2 and binding)

• Bright tone-on-tone print fabrics in a wide array of colours (appliqué blocks and Border 2). Natashia used: 20cm ( 1/4yd) red; 50cm (/8yd) light blue; fat quarter medium blue; 20cm ( 1/4yd) dark blue; 30cm ( 3/8yd) light green; 25cm ( 3/8yd) mid-green; 20cm ( 1/4yd) light orange; fat quarter dark orange; 15cm ( 1/4yd) pink; fat quarter purple; fat sixteenth black; fat quarter light brown; 25cm ( 3/8yd) mid-brown; 20cm ( 1/4yd) dark brown; and fat quarter grey

• 1.8m (2yd) backing fabric

• Batting at least 115cm (49in) square

• Stranded embroidery floss in dark brown and to complement the appliqué fabrics. Natashia used threads that were slightly darker than her appliqué fabrics

• Fusible web

• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat

• Sewing machine with 1/4in foot

• General sewing supplies

Stitches used:

Backstitch, blanket stitch, chain stitch, French knot, running stitch, satin stitch

Finished size:

108cm (42 1/2in) square

Note: Read all instructions before commencing the project. A seam allowance of 1/4in is used
