Keeping true

How brilliant it is that some manufacturers can stay true to their roots, without softening their off-roaders for mass-market appeal as Land Rover appears to have done. Instead, we have to rely on Jeep, and now Suzuki, it seems, to make the right decisions. The last iteration of the Jimny remained lightweight and extremely capable, deriving mechanical inspiration directly from the LJ10 model of the 1970s which relied on a 359cc two-stroke engine.
