Outdoor Rooms

O verseas visitors flock to the land down under in their droves. Many are eager to cuddle a koala, marvel at a big rock, take in pristine harbour views, or catch some waves at Bondi. Australia is seen as a land of relaxed and carefree outdoor living, and rightly so, because Aussies just do it so well.

And it all begins right at home. Step outside a modern Australian home and you’ll find outdoor entertaining spaces with barbecues and wood-fired ovens to cook on. Some have complete outdoor kitchens where the in-house chef can cook tantalising tucker made to order.

There are comfortable lounging areas to cater for two, four or more, and dining settings that offer intimate spaces, casual relaxed dining, or places for formal get-togethers.

Staying toasty warm in winter is easy with an outdoor fire, but in the hotter months of the year the swimming pool becomes the entertaining hub, replete with cosy poolside seating where guests can sip chilled drinks while the kids splash about, or daybeds to while away
