75 Face Drug Charges In Puerto Rico, Some Allegedly Fed Victims To Reptiles

The federal indictment represents a "significant blow" to Las FARC, one of the island's most notorious and brutal drug trafficking rings, officials said on Wednesday.

Federal prosecutors charged 75 people in Puerto Rico with conspiring to smuggle and distribute vast amounts of narcotics as part of savage and multi-million dollar drug trafficking ring, that allegedly routinely fed rival gang members to pet caiman.

U.S. Attorney Rosa Emilia Rodríguez announced the charges in the newly unsealed indictment on Wednesday, noting that the three-year investigation into Las Fuerzas
