Certain plants, the best being comfrey and yarrow, accumulate diverse nutrients from the soil, which can be used to feed other plants. Comfrey, for example, contains more nutrients than kraal manure as its roots go metres deep, allowing it to draw nourishment way out of the reach of other plants.
