“I HAD TO GET OVER HOW REPULSIVE I WAS!”

How did it feel when you were approached for this?

When I got the call, it reminded me of how I felt when I was offered the chance to be in . I thought, “Are they nuts? Why would anyone remake something so iconic?” Then I was told that it wasn’t a remake but a prequel and that it wasn’t a film but a TV series. I also found out that Louis was directing and I read the scripts and I thought, “Oh, I get it now. The story’s incredibly resonant, the characters have so much more time to be developed and holding the whole thing together is a top Hollywood director working with the best puppeteers in the world. Maybe they’re not so nuts after all.”
