SKY FIGHTERS OF FRANCE

orn in Foix, France, in July 1871, French artist Henri Farré produced 175 paintings during World War I. A student of the École des Beaux-Arts, he used his canvas to record the encounters of daring men and their frail machines in the perilous skies over the Western Front.
