Want to eat healthy? You may need to start drinking a duckweed shake

It may look like a layer of yucky algae, but duckweed could be the next superfood, according to new research from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel. Specifically mankai duckweed which grows in many countries. It has been found that this species of the aquatic plant contains the same protein profile as eggs, with nine essential amino acids and six conditional ones. Mankai duckweed is also rich in flavonoids, catechins, vitamin B complex (including B12), vitamin A, phenolic acids and dietary fibre. Drinking
