Best known for his psychedelic collages channeling 1960s pop culture, Japanese artist and graphic designer Tadanori Yokoo has dedicated himself to a new medium since renouncing commercial work in the 1980s. The pieces the octogenarian produces in his now preferred medium of painting present a noticeable departure from his signature, iconoclastic posters. At the same time, he continues to play with highly stylized, vintage imagery.
