There are clearly a number of areas in our lives as game ranchers where it is now time to stand up, be counted and take responsibility for our own future. To name a few:

1. Under which department does game ranching resort and, more importantly, what is it that we want from our regulators?

2. Disease control in South Africa – how do we ensure the threats and challenges facing our and the whole livestock industry’s future are best managed and hopefully overcome?

3. The negative view of our livestock and in particular the game ranching industry and its impact on biodiversity and conservation.
