THE INNOVATION REVOLUTION

1 Innovation is not enough. Organisations need to reconstruct the way they look at innovation and develop ‘today’, ‘tomorrow’ and ‘the day after’ teams. The with a one-to-two-year timeline, enables the business to do with a two-to-five-year timeline, is responsible for disruption. That means taking the current business model and making it obsolete to create a new one. The with a five-to-ten-year time horizon, is where revolution happens. Tesla CEO Elon Musk plans to compete with Uber and Lyft by using an autonomous ride-hailing fleet made up of robo-taxis. He will have one million on the road by 2020. Not only will robo-taxis be significantly cheaper than Uber and Lyft, but Tesla owners will also have the opportunity of making upward of $30 000 per year. This is not innovation; it’s revolution born from conscious capitalism.
