Celebrating 50 YEARS of Sport max

When Italy’s fashion maverick Achille Maramotti launched Sportmax back in 1969, it was meant to be the experimental arm of his powerhouse Max Mara Fashion Group. Inspired by the social revolutions of the time, specifically the mood in “Swinging London”, he created the brand to reflect changing attitudes, while retaining his renowned up-market made-in-Italy quality. In doing so, Maramotti launched a collection of modern garments to be purchased separately, then mixed and matched to fit women’s shifting disposition.

Fast forward 50 years and now it is Maramotti’s granddaughter,
