What we do and why

The general licence issue has once again reared its head. There has been a lot of uncertainty about whether the licences were going to be reissued. I am sure that most of you will know by now that we have an extension until 31 July from Defra on the existing licences: GL26, GL28, GL31, GL34, GL35 and GL36. It is a case of “as you were” in controlling species covered by these licences in England (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have their own arrangements).
