‘Royal weddings lift the nation’s spirits and bring people together’

There’s nothing like a royal wedding to lift the nation’s spirits and, this week, Princess Beatrice was due to become the sixth of the Queen’s eight grandchildren to marry. Her Majesty would have taken pride of place among the guests at the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace on 29 May to see the Duke of York’s eldest daughter wed property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, with a reception at Buckingham Palace.
