After a lengthy spell in the pyramid’s lower reaches, the south Birmingham club have secured a series of promotions over the past 13 seasons and moved to a purpose-built ground in Edgbaston, their first permanent home in 111 years.

    They won 20 of their 21 games. Grove, an ex-Scotland centre, and Sigley added Premiership experience to the back-room team. Fly-half McGahan amassed 235 points while scrum-half Ben Tibbetts and lock Sam Herrington each scored 16 tries.
