that's life!

Welcome!

Like many others during the pandemic, I have been riding my bike a lot more lately. I say ‘my bike’ as if it’s a regular thing. Truth is, it’s most enthusiastic cyclist, our deputy art director, Amber, has offered to take me for a ride and teach me, which I may take her up on. Amber and her hubby John actually met while they both worked on a cycling magazine. John used to race competitively as a road cyclist and mountain biker and introduced the sport to Amber. She loved it, and still does. So when their two girls, Ellie, 13, and Kate, 11, were old enough, they had them both on training wheels. ‘The kids come mountain biking with us now,’ Amber told me. ‘There are lots of beautiful places to ride not far from where we live, and we love that we’ve introduced them to a sport that’s great for their health and gives them an appreciation of the Aussie bush.’ Hear, hear!
