    estern Writers of America (WWA) has chosen Santa Fe–based Johnny D. Boggs as the 2020 recipient of its Owen Wister Award for lifetime contributions to Western literature. His dozens of published books and hundreds of articles, essays, columns and short stories certainly establish his claim on the award, and no one can argue with his status as the most recognized Western writer among his peers.
