Stand-Alone Versus Fussy Cut

For this article, we will be referring to totally self-contained, we will look more specifically at fussy cutting, which is a technique where motifs or scenes are isolated from the rest of the fabric design and carefully cut out to fit a patchwork or appliqué design. Fussy cutting can sometimes show a whole, separate motif, but may also contain small areas of other parts of the fabric.
