VOLVO XC40 RECHARGE

VOLVO HAS AMBITIOUS plans to electrify its range, with a mix of mild and plug-in hybrids, as well as pure-electric vehicles (EVs). The XC40 Recharge T5 is part of this new generation, combining a petrol engine and an electric motor. The plug-in hybrid versión will be joined by the XC40 Recharge Pure-Electric P8 in early 2021.

Emissions and towing limits

Hybrids generally have lower towing limits than the equivalent diesel, and with some exceptions, EVs have restrictive towing limits or can’t tow at all.

With the Recharge, though, Volvo hasn’t forgotten its many fans in the caravanning world.
