Corn Cornucopia

There are three main types of corn that are grown for eating, as well as one that is used as an ornamental corn:

• – best harvested when young and used as fresh as possible.• – the varieties that have a high starch content, usually used for grinding into maize meal or eaten fresh (not dried), boiled or grilled on a braai.• – these varieties have a tough outer• – not grown for eating but as decoration.
