FIND YOUR rhythm

love reading about my favourite writers’ working methods but I also find them dispiriting as I have noticed that every successful author seems very disciplined and appears to follow quite a strict routine, often involving dawn starts. Which is the opposite of me. I began a novel during lockdown and did manage to get into the habit of writing every day. But now I am back at work in my part-time job, a regular routine feels impossible. I have children and a dog, which takes care of the early mornings, and an elderly father who is good at providing small crises for me
