Cooling off from 2020 in Coolville, Ohio

December marks the beginning of winter, and it is often quite cold in most parts of the country. So, in honor of the traditional chill, I thought we might make a visit to one of the “hippest” names on national currency, Coolville, Ohio. Coolville is a tiny hamlet in southeast Ohio’s Athens County. It sits on the Hocking River, about 18 miles southeast of Athens, home of Ohio University, and 17 miles southwest of Parkersburg, W.Va.
