The museums of today must become platforms that seek out new narratives through visitor participation in response to changes in contemporary social values, marking a departure from the role of transmitting established knowledge. In terms of their programmes, the importance of research, education, and the archive is raised in addition to traditional exhibitions, and their close connection promotes the constant production of exhibitions. In addition to these demands of our times, the Korean Museum of Urbanism and Architecture (KMUA) should also consider its role as a national institution. It is necessary to delineate and communicate the unique attributes of the architectural environment in Korea through selected collections and exhibitions, while also maintaining the flexibility to cover a wide range of changing priorities and challenges. In recent years, public architectural exhibition facilities have opened, but the KMUA is quite different from these spaces in that it establishesis capable of establishing its own collections and archives and securesing wider exhibition spaces, especially for
