      This series is exciting and listen one audio book after another.
      However this audio book had some parts that where silent.

      So, this is the story of Kateri and Ren. I enjoyed it more than Sundown's story, which is closely related to Ren's. There is a lot of Native American and Mayan myth in this one. It is getting hard to keep all the characters straight. This series has become too complicated. Especially when you mix in the Greek mythology too. I enjoyed the first half of the book more than the second half. By the second half, it seemed a little formulaic. And when Kateri reclaimed Ren's soul, it seemed too easy. Overall, a pretty good read.

      This is my least favorite of the entire series. I had high hopes for this book, and I found it to be incredibly lacking. Where is the new info, not in this book. IMO this book is just bits and pieces of the last couple. This book was a major let down.

      Time Untime sets the story about one of the demigod in Darkhunter world, Ren Waya, one of the ancient Guardian and possibly the first Darkhunter. There's another impending apocalypse incoming at the end of the year... (near my 24th birthday) and Kateri's life in danger. Kateri is a geologist who is the last in her line with the power of her ancestor to reset the timeline and thus prevent the onslaught of demonic apocalypse. Ren had to escort her to the temple before the time reached 11:11am on the 21st of December but before the bearer was revealed to him she was kidnapped to a hell dimension and Ren had to rescue her until both found out that they dreamed of each other killing one another for years.... everyday.

      The book is a continuation of The Guardian (which can be set aside from the rest of the DH canon and thus a side-series) and most of the time, the author sort of recycled Acheron's story structure and things went very predictable most of the time. The tone of the story was more urban fantasy than paranormal romance despite the traditional pairing which is a pleasing read for me. But I do see the author is tiring herself out trying to do the alpha male and alpha female pairings AGAIN and the same romance AGAIN and a couple of steamy scenes which is quite the same as one of her Kinley Macgregor book. (please just stop)

      I might stay reading the series for a couple books but I could only go far in this fandom. Considering I read her book around 2003-2004, so it does make me old right?

      The story is set from second point of views of many characters like Teri, Ren and Acheron including Teri's continuous visions about Ren's checkered past as a human born from a warrior leader and a greek goddess.

      Because the whole book happen in matter in a couple of hours that the romance part is very unrealistic. But both of them dreamed of each other's past for years. It does make sense about how they have deep connection to one another. But I'm unconvinced until the end of the book.

      I do enjoy all the world building around this book especially with Nick popped into the book again. The earlier series focused on Greek storylines with Atlantean and Sumerian pantheons in the mix and with the addition Mayan lore the DarkHunter world really does become a verse within itself. I do enjoy the use of Native American culture into the mix because its something I rarely see anyone use it well enough.

      I do hope Sherrilyn focus on her fresh sequels i.e. The Nick Chronicles or let one of these apocalypse unleashed in great scale for once and have one or two book couple die or something. I'd hate to see Sherrilyn Kenyon going to the road Christine Feehan did. Since both of them are sort of the mothers of paranormal romance for me, I dont want to be 30 and wondering why these PNR verse are still dragging on.

      Irony that is, I started reading their books when I'm around 16 and I'm looking at the future and it doesnt feel good.

Seriously, I enjoyed this story so darn much from beginning to end. I like when a character has to overcome their beliefs to get to the truth. Also, usually not a fan of epilogues with huge time jumps but in this case it really, really worked :)Character Thoughts: Oh how I loved Kateri and Ren! First, their names are just so freaking cool. Second, their back stories are made of amazing. I really am falling in love with the world again and that always happens through the characters. I know that there are people mentioned in this story that I hope we get to see a lot of in the future!Audio Thoughts: Narrated By Holter Graham / Length: 10 hrs and 20 mins Holter knocked it out of the park again! I am just a fan of his narration of stories and he has a particular knack for action. He keeps you on the edge of your seat by pacing the authors work excellently. Highly recommend his narration when you come across it!Final Thoughts: STYX! What I can't wait!

      I started Time Untime a few days before going on a short vacation because I usually tear through a D-H book in a day, maybe two. I got halfway through this and put it down for over two weeks. I'm not sure if Kenyon has burned out, or me, but I found the book a huge disappointment.First, like so many others, the Native American mythology was just too much. Kenyon has been adding pantheons steadily to her series and it has gotten where you need an encyclopedia just to know who is who (Greek, Egyptian, Cthonian, Primal, Hellraiser...). Kenyon spent half a dozen books building and expanding the mostly Greek/Atlantean-based mythology her world was initially set in. In 'Retribution', Native American mythology was introduced. That book managed to work because the mythology introduction was minimal and the protagonists were well done. It felt and operated like a D-H book. Here she tries to flesh out the NA mythology to the level of the Greek in only one book. There was so much info-dumping that it detracted from the romance, and the cookie-cutter apocalypse plotline. I had to wade through so much mythology, and flashbacks of history, that I lost track of the couple to the point where I just didn't care about them.Second, I've had enough in the last few books of Kenyon trying to one-up Acheron's tragic life. Seth from 'The Guardian' was tortured non-stop for 4500 years. Ren is even more of an Acheron clone right down to the brother who looks like him, betrayed him, and got all their human father's praise while Ren was abused and kept in disgrace. He even had one devoted supporter, but rather than a sister it was a friend (Sundown). And, he spent most of the book pining about how he was unworthy and Kateri couldn't possibly love him. I yearn for the days when the heroes had their one major tragedy that caused them to become Hunters, but were otherwise bad-a@@, self-confident protagonists who didn't have time for love instead of being "unworthy" of love.Finally, while I love when familiar faces from prior books pop up, this time it felt like they were thrown in to try and tie this story into the D-H universe when it really didn't fit. Ren's heroine is a cousin to Talon's wife Sunny. Acheron appears to help stop the apocalypse, but honestly, Ren has no business being a Dark Hunter in the first place. He is fully rooted in his Native American mythology. Ironically, this book could have been a stand-alone story if the D-H references had been removed. It might have worked better as such. The one bright light that had me give two stars instead of one was the arrival of Nick. Not because he belonged in this story any more than Acheron did, but because their conversation did reveal some hints about what may come.Overall, I wish I had skipped this book. I haven't given up on Kenyon yet, but I hope she takes a break from the series until she has a story that answers some questions about the pantheons the series was built on. And, stop adding new ones. What's next, Norse gods?

      Now I know something about classical Greek and Roman myth, my primary degree is in History and Classical Civilizations so this is my baliwick, I admit I don't know as much about Native American mythology so I am in no place to comment about how the twists Sherrilyn Kenyon puts on it reflects them properly. Ren Waya came back from the dead to fight for redemption, he allowed himself to be posessed by Grizzly to get renown. He was killed by someone he cared for and he came back as Artemis' warrior. He doesn't understand love as it is something he has no experience of.Kateri Avani lives in denial that anything that isn't scientific doesn't belong in her life, the strange dreams non-withstanding. She sees a man killing her over and over, when she meets Ren she realises that he is that man.They have to race to stop time stopping, Ren has been told that the only way to do this is to kill Kateri, but he's feeling something he hasn't felt in his many many years.It's an interesting story and I enjoyed the story and the end was touching. Now I want to know what's going to happen next with some of the characters involved.

      Apocalypse Now! Ren Waya has come back from the dead to stop a prophecy - one of his own. To do so he must kill the one person he can't. His love Kateri Avani.I loved Ren & Kateri's story. It definitely has a different feel to it - compared to the New Orleans stories. But altogether an exciting tale with characters (loved seeing Talon again) showing up from previous books. Time Untime is fresh, action packed with great romantic elements. For me this series never gets old, this is book number 17 in the series and it's still a joy to spend time in Ms. Kenyon's Dark-Hunter world.Time Untime is narrated by Holter Graham. It took me a while to take a liking to his voice, but I'm loving it now. He does an excellent job, hopefully Mr. Graham will continue to narrate the Dark-Hunter books.***Before reading Time Untime I would suggest reading Retribution first.
