About this audiobook
Are you eager to make a change but unsure what's next?
Organizing works when you know where you're going but don't know how to get there. But sometimes organizing isn't enough. When you're eager to make a change in your life but are unsure of your new destination, you need to SHED.
Expert organizer and New York Times bestselling author Julie Morgenstern has developed the four-step SHED plan to help you get unstuck from the defunct, obsolete objects and obligations preventing you from living a richer, more meaningful life. SHED picks up where other organizing processes leave off-helping you purge the physical and behavioral clutter holding you back so you can finally create real change in your life.
But it's not just about throwing things away! The SHED process is more about what comes before and after you heave the clutter so that the changes you make really stick in the long term. The SHED plan involves four key steps:
-Separate the treasures-What is truly worth hanging on to?
-Heave the trash-What's weighing you down?
-Embrace your identity-Who are you without all your stuff?
-Drive yourself forward-Which direction connects to your genuine self?
Whether you're facing a move, a promotion, an empty nest, a marriage, divorce, or retirement, When Organizing Isn't Enough provides a practical, transformative plan for positively managing change in every aspect of your life.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a good book and the author has a lot of great insights, advice, and wisdom; however, I thought the first half of the book was more helpful than the second half of the book.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5There are sime excellent ideas in this book. I am trying to implement the theme concept and have shred some items and activities. I have already reaped some benefit. I strongly recommend this book.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Want to become more organized? Well this book can really help to unclutter your life. There is all kinds of "rubbish" in life that prevents you from efficiently making progress. The only way to deal with this rubbish is to get rid of it. So where do you stat?? The book offers practical ways to prioritize, get rid of clutter, and deal with many of the "withdrawal pains" you may face when "shedding" long nurtured time-wasters. The book is highly applicable, and written in a very pleasant style. IMHO this book is a "must read" for everyone.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A comprehensive guide to shedding excess stuff from every level of life -- cluttering things, excess time commitments, task commitments, and habits. And the cool thing is, it really, really works.....As I shed stuff and tasks that are merely OK or worse, I really do make room for the better and the best. I've been SHEDDING in a consistent way for about six months, and I love the process and the results.I highly recommend this book if you want to shed with the intention of letting in more and more wonderful things of every kind.
