About this audiobook

Mack begins her training at the mages' academy in the hope that, by complying, the stasis spell will be lifted from her old friend Mrs. Alcoon. However, once there, she finds herself surrounded by unfriendly adults and petulant teenagers, the majority of whom seem determined to see her fail.

Feeling attacked on all fronts, Mack finds it harder and harder to keep a rein on her temper. Forced to attend anger management classes and deal with the predatory attentions of Corrigan, the Lord Alpha of the shapeshifter world, her emotions start to unravel. But when she comes across a familiar text within the walls of the mages' library, which might just provide the clues she needs to unlock the secrets of her background and her dragon blood, she realizes that her problems are only just beginning . . .

Quite an actioned filled, self discovery and a little bit sad at parts book.
Mac is trying so hard to keep going, just keep surviving, while protecting those she cares for. Yes she's hot headed and takes so many risks and can be a dangerously cooky...but no doubt her heart is in the rest place and she does try so hard to do what she feels is best and will keep those she cares for safe.
A bet more steamy moments in this book. Still PG12 type. Lots of action, sass and moments that make you giggle

I like the first two books in the series; However, the plot of this book was lacking. I love the characters growth though...But found way too many holes/cliches in the plot for it to really be enjoyable.

So far the books in this series all have a strong start...but by the end of them the plots seem to run out of steam or don't carry the same energy as the start. It's a bit frustrating...as I do really like the main character, so why ruin Mac's story with poor plot devices?

    FINALLY!!!

    9/18 rereading
Something is funny about the dragon up in the tower.
Most of the school stuff is a little ridiculous esp the way Mack is treated

Last night, I finished the book while my other friends, wife and daughter watched the Oscars. What a fun ride Bloodrage has turned out to be and I can certainly see that Mack is growing in maturity, but she is still a bit naive and slow to learn how to control herself. As in the first books, Mack continues to make a number of loyal friends both at the Academy and without. I think that Helen Harper has done a great job of fleshing out the characters in this series for us. Corrigan is back, and I am still hoping that something will finally kindle between Mack and he and I'm certain that their time will come. And just wait until the end! It's not exactly a shock, however Ms. Harper really ends things with a bang and it leaves you ready to see where Mack is headed next. I did tear up at the end, even though the shock caused by the loss of her friends was exactly what she needed to move forward. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next book in the series, Blood Politics and just ordered a copy from Amazon.Jack Murphy
