About this audiobook

Some loves never let you go…
Cassie swore she'd never forgive Ethan for breaking her heart when they were in acting school years ago. He was her one great love, and when he refused to love her back, a part of her died forever…or so she thought. Now she and Ethan are sharing a Broadway stage, and he's determined to win her back. Finally he's able to say all the things she needed to hear years ago…but can she believe him? Has he really changed, and what makes this time different from all his other broken promises? The answer lies somewhere in the past, and now the truth will come to light. Will Cassie rediscover what it's like to be trusting and open again—the way she was before Ethan? Or is it too late for these star-crossed lovers?
Don't miss this mesmerizing final chapter in the Bad Romeo duet, the unforgettable love story that captured the hearts of over two million fans online.

I love this author, but I feel like 2 books devoted to this couple's back and forth relationship was too long and unnecessary. I found myself wishing Leisa had condensed the first and second books into one and just used the best parts of both. I also thought the way the 1st book ended would be a fine end or you could even just add in the ending to this second book.

The fact that this push and pull story continued into this second book with the same back and forth timeline format felt repetitive and longer than it needed to be. When you add in therapy and friends second guessing the relationship in this second book, it just starts to feel more unhealthy and tragic. Don't get me wrong, I understand relationships have issues and take work. The author gave the clear message that Ethan redeemed himself in many, many ways, but this second book gave a heavier downer feel to the relationship where I even tired of it. Haha

The pros were that there were some steamy scenes and chemistry, just as in the first book, but without as much build up. I did enjoy Ethan's more steadfast commitment and openness in this book.

This was a 4 star listen for me except for the excessive drinking, it dragged it down to -three. The first half + of the story she was drinking, grabbing a drink, wanting a drink, being drunk, sick drunk... ARGUGH ! I understand she was messed up in the head/heart but it consumed the pages to the point I was getting a contact high. I would have liked to hear about it less and more about her time with Tristan or even more wallowing, anything. Sadly what I got out the the first 5-65% was just "Forget this thinking I'm getting drunk" Boring !!They had a ton of damage to repair, scar tissue to remove and trust to build. This all happened in the last 1/4 of the book which was fabulous. I loved the choices they made, they were intelligent, respectful and not buried in alcohol. The relationship, and the characters finally became more. The ending was not a shock but I was shocked at how they got there. The maturity level jumped. Can you tell I'm not fond of the drink till drunk solution to life in my entertainment ? It doesn't work and it to glorified by authors/media/social circles far too many times. I have a personal issue with this common acceptance alcohol abuse. Two times I've been nearly killed by drunk drivers and 4 times so far I've lost friends to alcohol stupidity. Yeh I am riding my high horse, perhaps but this is my opinion.

I received this free eARC from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review. I was so excited to receive this book that I instantly requested for the first one. I'm so glad I waited to have both books in my hand before starting this series because I went from one book to the other, instantly! These novels were very well done. It shows the attraction and love between two people, but also how two people while in love can sabotage a relationship. It has the bad and ugly things that happen between a couple, but also how conflicting emotions rise up inside of everyone. This is a complete love story that happens every day in the real world. It's not always rainbows and candy and butterflies. Sure, relationships start off that way, but things start to get annoying, people become insecure and jealous, and tensions rise after having a huge fight. If we can learn anything from Cassie and Ethan's relationship in these two novels, it's that true love does exist, but sometimes we need to first re-evaluate ourselves and our troubled thoughts before we can fully commit ourselves to another person fully. I'm so glad that both Ethan and Cassie figured out how to get past their insecurities. Sure, it took 6 years from when they first met to when they finally found themselves and each other, but they constantly worked at it. I seriously loved this series and will definitely never forget the chemistry and drama between these two characters - both on and off the stage. So glad I got a chance to get this free eARC and will definitely be looking out for more by Leisa Rayven!
