- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved it it is so good ? ? ?
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Meet Greg Heffley, a narcissistic sociopath, who is navigating the journey of middle school... Sigh... There's a reason I will never like these books. First, Greg is a character who cares deeply for himself, and no one else. He lies at the expense of others with hardly any sympathy, cheating and bullying. Greg's one goal in life is to be rich, famous, and most importantly—popular. ? The character is conceited, with no redeeming qualities, which makes him an awful character no one can truly root for.
The book can be funny at times, though the humor becomes old terribly fast.
The plot is non-existent, and the writing, though matching the style of a middle schooler, is painfully bad, but... what did I expect... (This is a review for the entire series) - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I have to explain to innumerable students what exactly the title of this book means. Does no one use the phrase "cabin fever" any longer? I suppose with technology, we're no longer trapped when stuck inside for long periods of time. Anyway, I should have read this during the summer because it genuinely made me feel cold.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The more things change, the more they stay the same. In the case of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, that actually is a good thing.
The latest entry in Jeff Kinney’s Wimpy Kid series is “Cabin Fever” and I found it to be enjoyable. I admit I didn’t laugh out loud as much as I did with the early books, but I still managed many smiles.
Greg Heffley’s adventures are still the wacky, outrageous ones you’ve read before. There are the battles with his parents, the run-ins with his big brother and new experiences with his younger brother Manny. In fact, one of the funniest moments had to do with a bad winter storm and an enterprising Manny. He is growing up!
I would recommend this book to anyone who has enjoyed the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series and isn’t looking for a new twist on the story. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The first half cracked me up several times, but it started to drag substantially in the middle, as Greg's selfish antics started to wear instead of inducing chuckles. None of these will ever compare to the power of the first one, so I wouldn't even read any more of them if it took longer than 1 hour to read. Since it only requires such a minute commitment, however, it IS worth reading.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I thought I would stop reading this series after book 5, but I'm addicted to the silliness of them. I enjoy the fact that they can be skim read and every so often there is a part of the story line that is hilarious or you can relate to. In this book the snow has set in and Greg is feeling the effects of cabin fever by being stuck inside.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Diary of a Wimpy Kid Cabin Fever Have you been in trouble and been punished? Well, Greg has. Greg is a boy who writes about his life and what’s going on in his present time. He has a big brother named Rodrick who is lazy and sleeps a lot. He has a little brother named Manny who breaks everything. The author Jeff Kinney said, “I do all my speeches in pictures. If I wrote words, I’d get locked in on them.” Jeff Kinney was born on February 19, 1971, he’s 43 years old. He has two children named Will and Grant Kinney. Greg and the family were stuck in a blizzard and Greg was working for money to buy his critters clothes. He was cleaning his neighbor’s driveway. I recommend this book to people who has trouble with their lives and to people who has a journal.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Diary of a wimpy kid cabin fever is when Gregg was survivng school and his own home by doing the worst things possible
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5funny and good for people who have annoying little and older brothers
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I like how in this book it is snowing in winter and the kid is stuck inside his house with his little brother and his annoying big brother.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The author of, "Cabin fever" is Jeff Kinney. The main character is a boy in middle school named Greg Heffley. Cabin Fever is the sixth sequel to the Diary of a wimpy kid series. In this book Greg is convicted of damaging his school property, but the truth is that he is innocent. On top of that an unespected blizzard hits, and greg and his family are trapped inside their home. Greg hates spending time with his family so he is very upset. He is also very scared because when the snow melts and he can go outside of his house and back to school, their will be a big punishment waiting for him.Find out what happens to Greg, read the book to find out!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is one of my favorite Diary of a Whimpy kid books. Really funny and with an ending you would really not expect.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I have read this book and the series before and it just keeps getting funnier and funnier ! I like how Jeff Kinney put in all the pictures views to go in depth with the story.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book was about a boy, and what happens the weeks before Christmas. A blizzard hits his town, and he is stuck in his house with his family. This drives the boy crazy. I probably would not have my students read this in class, but I would definitely put this on a summer reading list. I think this would be a nice book for a student to read during their summer break.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I finally figure out what makes Wimpy Kid so popular, its not so much a novel as a series of vaguely connected, super short stories. And of course involve adults acting silly and kids being kids.
Audio was good, quick listen. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5What's to say? He's still Greg Heffley--in other words, still an unlikeable (to me) narrator, but at least he's less of a jerk this time than usual.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I really enjoyed the audio version of this book, read by Ramon de Ocampo. He had a pleasant upbeat voice with the perfect amount of mischief. The story is presented in diary form, each day presenting the reader with the trials and tribulations of a 12-year old boy. He has an older and younger brother with their own personalities and Greg shows us how he learns to get along with them. This is the only book of the series I have read and I really enjoyed it.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Someone has damaged school property and Greg is the main suspect. It's now winter break and the Heffleys get stuck indoors because of a terrible blizzard. In this addition to the Wimpy Kid series Greg learns a valuable lesson about respect and honor to change the way he acts toward his family.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It was good but it. Wasn't as good as I thought it would be! But other people say the liked it!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5We all know how hard it can be to stay with your family for a long time, and Jeff really put that on the dot in this book. in this book, Greg Heffley tries his best to stay with his parents for the summer, but he just couldn't take it. He got frustrated when he learns he was barricaded in his house with snow, and theres no way out. So he's forced to stay inside of his house until the summer is over.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I thought this book was a good book because Greg, the main character, is so lazy it's funny. Jeff Kenny, the author, really knows how to write a good book. The one thing I do not like about the book is that it is so short. I like how Greg tried to shovel snow and just used the sprinkler.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5it is about a boy called Greg who gets into a lot of mischief along with his 2 brothers Rodrick and Manny.
