About this audiobook
The Oregon crew must work without their usual resources when a rogue hacker empties their bank account in this action-packed installment from the #1 New York Times-bestselling grand master of adventure.
When a bank heist during the Monaco Grand Priz decimates the Corporation's "offshore" account, Juan Cabrillo and the crew of the Oregon find themselves unexpectedly vulnerable. Without his usual financial assets, Juan must trust a woman from his past, an old friend from his days with the CIA, to help him keep his team safe. Together, they'll face a mysterious hacker with a brutal vendetta. It is only after the hunt begins that the enormity of the plan comes into focus: the bank theft is just the first step in a plot that will result in the deaths of millions and bring the world's economies to a standstill. The catalyst for the scheme? A stunning document stolen during Napoleon's disastrous invasion of Russia. But two hundred years later, it may be the thing that brings Europe to its knees.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The Emperor's Revenge is a long, complex, action-packed story. Best listened in large gulps. Revenge? Which emperor? Napoleon or Golov? The Oregon characters are the usual....Juan, McD, etc. The bad guys are some gutsy Russians with a cool ship. Nice ending...read it yourself!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This one makes my favorites in the series. The Oregon is up against a mega yacht outfitted by the same shipyard, on a race against terrorists set on destroying the power grid to mask the heist of digital bank assets. The plot turns around mathematical papers Napoleon took from Moscow and hid with other Russian treasures.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5THE EMPEROR'S REVENGE CLIVE CUSSLER AND BOYD MORRISON A NOVEL OF THE OREGON FILES. I've said it before and I'll say it again I LOVE Cussler novels and this one is no different. From page one you get a slice of history and an action packed deadly game of cat and mouse between the Juan Cabrillo and the Corporation and two modern day pirates who are not stealing booty but bucks, as in dollars, the Corporations dollars and Juan and his crew is NOT happy. In the latest adventure Juan join forces with the feds to find the bad guys and along the way one of the team will not make it home, and that's the only spoiler i'm giving out! Fast paced high adventure, Cussler has never disappointed and with THE EMPERORS REVENGE is no exception. A must read of a thrill ride.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The Emperor's Revenge is an excellent adventure story aboard the Oregon/Nogero. The history of Napoleon and his stash of treasure and submarine are all intertwined into a wonderful adventure that takes place in present day time. If you seek adventure, history, romance, murders, computer hackers, revenge, fantastically appointed boats then this is the book for you. Because the book from the prologue thru the epilogue keeps one's attention it is awarded five stars in this review.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Some interesting premises, lively characters and lots of action.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I have read most, if not all, of The Oregon Files, but this is the first one which has been co-authored by Boyd Morrison. I am always a little sceptical about new partnerships, so this came as a pleasant surprise. The story flows, no perhaps that should be torrents, along in true Cussler style, but with an unexpected, yet welcome addition in that Mr Morrison obviously a sense of humour. I did find myself laughing occasionally, and that definitely enhanced the read.Typical of Cussler there is a historical connection, but The Emperor in the title is not one of those I would have expected. If the title had been “The Little Emperor’s Revenge” then I would have known before the first page which has a very courageous attempt to free Napoleon from his island exile. In the present day some of the Russian Treasure that Napoleon was reputed to have hidden somewhere during his retreat from Moscow holds a very important key to the plans of Sergey Golov who not only wants to gain his revenge on Russia for their damage to his career and his home nation of Ukraine, but in the process make himself the richest man on earth, along with the help of his computer genius daughter. So Juan Cabrillo and his crew have a fascinating problem to solve, including a yacht, Achilles, that has been equipped in almost superior fashion to his own Oregon and, we discover, in the very same shipyard in Vladivostock. The story races from Monaco to Malta, various parts of the Baltic, and on to the border between Denmark and The Netherlands. It even includes something of a crossover in that Kurt Austin and Joe Zavala make a brief, but very valuable contribution.Yes, you have to be prepared to have your incredulity stretched, but not so far that it becomes unbelievable. A very worthy addition to the Cussler collection.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It doesn't take you long to guess who the "Emperor" is after Cussler's historical prologue which opens all of his books. From there the story enters the present day and you wonder "what did that have to do with what's happening now." That's just what Clive Cussler does well...blends the past with the present and presents a story that you just have to read more and more of.This one is well written with lots of a variety of action. I especially enjoy the various crew members of the Oregon. Each one has a surprising range of skills and talents. This and the great story lines keeps the series from getting dull.
