About this audiobook

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Starts with Us and All Your Perfects, a “brave and heartbreaking novel that digs its claws into you and doesn’t let go, long after you’ve finished it” (Anna Todd, New York Times bestselling author) about a workaholic with a too-good-to-be-true romance can’t stop thinking about her first love—soon to be a major motion picture.

Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. And when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life seems too good to be true.

Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head. But Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his “no dating” rule, she can’t help but wonder what made him that way in the first place.

As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan—her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.

An honest, evocative, and tender novel, It Ends with Us is “a glorious and touching read, a forever keeper. The kind of book that gets handed down” (USA TODAY).

The mix between sex and violence in this book is frankly disturbing. I couldn’t finish it.

I wish I could describe to you the loop hole I got into because of this book. It was like a trance, just waiting for the next moment and it being somewhat or not at all what I expected the entire time. Curveballs, love, so much. Do yourself a favor and read this book.

Very predictable romance. No depth. Verity was an excellent book so I expected much more with this one.

I can’t remember the last time a book has made me so emotional. I don’t want to give anything away, but it helps you have more empathy for a person in Lily’s situation.

This book dragged. The primary relationship wasn’t the one the reader craved. The secondary relationship was left too quick by the ending.

I don't often write reviews, I'm more of a listener than a share-er, but this book was excellent. It had the dark and twisted , the taboo side of life that I enjoy reading and writing but it also had passion, realism, and triumph. Who doesn't like a heroine in any form and that is what Lilly is. The more people talk about these taboo subjects the less taboo they become and the more open people will become about them. I know this was a hard book for the author to write but I truely feel she has added a gem to the novel world and a book of hope to those that might need it.
FYI, this is also the first book I've listen to by this author and I plan to pursue more of her writings after this introduction to her work.

Thank you for being so vulnerable and presenting the realities of some of us. Abusers aren’t always bad men. Sometimes they’re broken, hurting, sick, good men that can’t always control the damage life did to them. This was beautiful. I never leave reviews but I felt very impressed to do so after reading this book.

Redeemed slightly at the end. Would not recommend. Didn't get the happiness that I normally get from reading, was just glad it was over.

I felt like this book just didn’t reallly have a purpose for me . It felt predictable , randomly explicit , and just felt like somewhat a waste of time once I reached the end
