About this audiobook

Dan's survived a lot of sh*t storms.

Her mother died. Her two sisters loathed her. One aunt hated her. The other was strangely distant, but the worst storm-being dumped by her childhood best friend/high school boyfriend/first love for her younger sister.

There went the one person who was hers and with that, the main reason she stuck around. So, she left for ten years. But now she's back, and nothing's the same.
With help from Jonah Bannon, a reformed-kind of-bad boy she remembers from high school, Dani uncovers family secrets that have spanned generations. And along with those, she's about to face the biggest sh*t storm of her life. Only this time, she may not survive.

I liked this book, but there was too much going on. Too many secrets, lies, twists and turns. I am not happy on how the heroine got her closer because it seemed rushed and it wasn’t satisfying. Jake just pisses me off!! He was with all three sisters and it’s supposed to be ok!! How can he be with all three and love them? It’s touched upon but it’s not a reason where the reader can be like “oh I get it”. I think it’s worth a listen but be prepared to rewind some parts because you may get a little lost. All in all the book was good, I just don’t feel satisfied with how it ended even though it ended on a positive note.

My favorite part of the book was the different mystery behind Dani’s family and something that happens that brings the town together. This story has drama, heartbreak, betrayal, loneliness, a little romance, but also strength in hard times. I felt Dani’s pain for the many things she went through and the love and acceptance she gets from an unexpected person. Some parts of the book felt long but it is a good read and you won’t be disappointed.
