About this audiobook

Neely Wallace is a wanted woman-wanted by those who would do her harm. She's uncovered damning evidence against her boss, a powerful U.S. senator, implicating him in mob and drug activity. To lie low, Neely retreats to family in New England. While out trick-or-treating with her nephew, Neely knocks on the door of a nearby mansion, and fate-in the form of charming and reclusive Aidan Tremayne-answers the door.

Aidan Tremayne has a secret. He's been living with it for centuries, and he's hated every second of it. He yearns for the day when he can walk in light of day and return to the land of the living. When Aiden meets the beautiful, funny, intelligent, human stranger, suddenly his longing has a name: Neely Wallace.

Sucked in by blood-pumping romance and bitten with blood-curdling intrigue, the two lovers are faced with challenges and enemies from both sides of the veil between the living and the dead as they navigate the twisting road toward a shared-and mortal-life.

Way back in 1996 I was a single woman living in no where Oklahoma working in the local university library. I was on the net and had even met my future husband (though I didn't know that yet) but I still liked to read... a LOT.

I found myself at a little used bookstore and felt like I had hit the jackpot. I couldn't believe the number of books there for soooooo cheap. One gold mine I found were the Valerian books by Linda Lael Miller.

Vampire Romance - just what I needed during those lonely Oklahoma nights.

At the time I had no idea the genre existed, and quickly found that I really did enjoy the subject and the series. Forever and the Night is the first title, followed by For all eternity (1994), Time without end (1995) and Tonight and Always (1996).

If you have never heard of Valerian and like vampire romance, try any of these titles! You'll love Valerian too!

Rather like a vampiric soap opera, this. It wasn't awful, but there were a few times when I couldn't help but roll my eyes. The greater crime is that this book just wasn't very interesting.
