Just finished this book! Simply amazing!!! Especially to those who are horse-mad.

I like that there are horses in the book and that Bill and Miss Peters are as mad on horses as I am. How funny it was when Bill arrived (and went home again) with Thunder and her 7 brothers on horseback. I can imagine the sewing mistress just seeing all the girls gathering round the window and shouting ''Whoa there''.

But the funniest part was that of the sneezing trick. Ha ha ha!!!! It was absolutely hilarious how Mam'zelle sneezed! I liked Miss Potts' sneeze, too! Mam'zelle told Miss Rougier about the trick, who got very angry with the girls and started quarrelling with Mam'zelle Dupont.

Potty wouldn't let Mam'zlle give the third-formers their half-holiday... But Mam'zelle said ingeniously that she would make them work, but instead she taught them a French dance!!! Ha ha ha ha!!!

I suppose it was good that the third form didn't play the trick on Miss Peters after all the heroic things she did. She saved Thunder and Mavis which is the best thing to do...

I also liked that Zerelda and Mavis (who are very alike) became friends and learned the same lesson.

Mavis turns into a good girl at the end of the book. Betty returns to school and Sally is no longer jealous of Alicia! (Apparently in the 2nd book Alicia is jealous of Sally).

Simly the best book ever written! Hope there are more like this...
