I'm not a hundred percent sure she actually discusses anything to do with small talk in the book. There are more about manners and how to present yourself than actually starting and keeping a conversation going. I do not like the person's voice reading the book either, robotic and monotonous. She does list a bunch of questions to ask in the appendix, but I'm not interested in memorizing dozens of questions. It's certainly possible I missed the actual meat-and-potatoes buried in this book somewhere because it's so boring to listen to, but I found nothing of value that wasn't common sense in this book.

VERY BORING! The reader is very monotone. No expression. It’s good information but you can’t pay attention to it because it’s so boring!

Good ideas if you're at a loss for words during many types of conversations.

Some interesting points, but nothing I felt was was super helpful. It could also be because the narrator is very monotone and often put me to sleep. Maybe if it were read with a bit more gusto or personality I could have gotten into it more. I wouldn’t recommend.
