About this audiobook

Big-city sophistication meets carnal hunger in this devilish contemporary romance from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katy Evans.

Heir apparent to her father’s company, Lizzy Banks needs a man. The perfect man. But when the rich “fundbabies” she usually rubs shoulders with prove impossible to hire, she takes a chance on a raw beast of a man salvaged from the wreckage of a bar brawl.

James Rowan earns a modest income as a YouTube daredevil, but he can’t refuse Lizzy’s million dollar deal. As she polishes his rough edges, creating a sophisticated gentleman fit for the highest circles of society, not only does she bring out the perfect man—it’s like she’s making the man of her dreams. How can she resist?

Though Lizzy loves seeing James in his clothes—and out of them—he isn’t the kind of man you bring home to Daddy. Her father’s disapproval and the pressure of the campaign have her eyeing the straight and narrow, but Lizzy’s finding it awfully hard to resist the devil on her shoulder…

A interesting look at how we think a need to change to be good enough for other people.

Great story with strong narration. Million Dollar Marriage was my first Katy Evans read, so I didn’t read this series in order; however, I thoroughly enjoyed both. A great HEA with plenty of sizzle along the way. Highly recommend!

I’ve read most of this authors books and I was excited when I read the blurb, but this story and characters was boring and I just didn’t care about what’s was happening to them. I kept listening ( I was not impressed with the narration . She over pronounced her words and it certainly didn’t help an already troubled book. I hope she can get back to the great story telling she gave us in the Real series and manwhore series.

The narrator is terrible, but the story is very good

Listened to 5 chapters of Book 1 and really can‘t appreciate the female character… narration is ok but does not help me to really get into the book. Won‘t even try Book 2 based on the comments, pretty sure I won‘t like the guy.

    1. Million dollar devil. 2.Million dollar marriage. Perfect.
Wonderful character development. I hated the conflict and angst which both H and h endured but that’s part of every story in this genre. Katy Evans threw in a twist before the end. She’s an expert in writing steamy rom coms

I really liked the ending. I was expecting they would end up together, but not like that. It was cute and sweet, even though it wasn't as captivating as other books Katie Evans wrote.

I really wanted to enjoy this book, but the MC was such a brute. Not the primal sexy type. Just a rude man. I didn't like the chemistry between the two characters. The connection felt forced.

**Edit** I really disliked this book. MC was terrible. FC was fickle.

Yeah no..I was disappointed in this book, I was excited when I read the blurb but I didn't that is what we got. I was bored with these characters, and I wasn't crazy about Lizzy at all I think she had a split personality with how much she changed her opinion. Yeah getting off of this train, not worth me finishing it, it bored me that much.Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) Voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions

Without going back and referencing all the reasons why (since I listened to the audiobook), I just didn’t like the writing or the story. It was cliche and just sounded dumb. There were some good moments, but not many. Sorry, I don’t like leaving bad reviews, and I have read books I liked by this author, but not this one.
