About this audiobook
This is a manifesto for the 99 percent
Unaffordable housing, poverty wages, inadequate healthcare, border policing, climate change-these are not what you ordinarily hear feminists talking about. But aren't they the biggest issues for the vast majority of women around the globe?
Taking as its inspiration the new wave of feminist militancy that has erupted globally, this manifesto makes a simple but powerful case: feminism shouldn't start-or stop-with the drive to have women represented at the top of their professions. It must focus on those at the bottom and fight for the world they deserve. And that means targeting capitalism. Feminism must be anticapitalist, eco-socialist, and antiracist.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I like 99% of the theories, comments, and strategies put forth in this manifesto. However, don't expect to call people 'neoliberals in skirts' and expect to win transgender support. Guess what, the system isn't fucking free right now, and suffering dysphoria (read: martyring yourself) is a pretty shitty trade-off for getting to be a part of what the writers consider to be the '99%', which sounds like just a mirrored version of meritocracy.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Anticapitalist Feminism. I like it. Always seem to orbit a Marxian analysis attractor but this manifesto has a whole wishlist I can get with.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Very nice, with very valid points of view. It’s on my list of read again as it’s pretty intense in some parts and I am sure I will get extra benefits by a second read around!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book does a good job of explaining social reproduction and why it ought not be separated from capitalist production. It also draws on several international feminist movements that operate on the same premise
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5INTERSECTIONALITY AND BADASS IDEAS I LOVE THIS!! Please read this!!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Necessary, amazingly written to fit the times. A must read for anybody seeking answers or direction in political education.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I didn't know what to expect from this but it has made me think about feminism and capitalism completely differently. It felt quite academic at points but other than that, this was a powerful read.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Great polemic against liberal, neoliberal feminism which sustains existing inequalities and a call for an anti-capitalist, more inclusionary form of feminism.
