      This book taps into the central part of the life with Christ: being one with him.
      The writer talks about his horse, an afternoon on the balcony, his wife, his grandkids and the Union in such an elegant and easygoing way that it seems very natural and enlightening at the same time.

      This book was refreshing for the soul, and a very important reminder to of what God has in store for us and the beautiful union he desires with us.

      The contents of this book are very timely for our lives today. My husband and I listened together and agreed we probably need to pick this book up periodically to keep the principals fresh in our hearts and minds. John writes with such compassion and tenderness with some humor thrown in. Now more than ever our souls need rest and revival. I’m thankful for this guidebook!

      Amazing! If you are looking for a genuine, real, authentic way to grow in Christ this book is for you. It has gently guided me through my disappointment with modern day discipleship into what I think is a genuine expression of following Jesus. I feel significantly closer to God in my everyday through the powerful practices outlined and explained here. And the crazy thing is, through almost a hundred discipleship books and programs I have been apart of, I have never heard these practices explained elsewhere. Well done John!

      Can’t stop recommending this book to everyone! Very timely and connected to our daily crazy lives, this book is a breath of fresh air to regain our soul, our love for Christ and mind space to be who we were made to be. Utterly practical, not another theoretical essay about anxiety and business, but steps you can put into practice, a pace that encourages and helps you to build the discipline needed to get your life back and fall in love with our creator every day.
