About this audiobook

From New York Times best-seller Claire Contreras comes a new, sexy stand-alone novel . . .

When you grow up in a family like mine, it's easy to identify the kind of men that are bad news.

They're the ones with experience.

The ones with secrets.

The ones that exude sex just by saying your name.

From the moment I laid eyes on Lorenzo, I knew he wasn't just bad news.

He was the headline.

But my head and my heart are at war.

He’s too mysterious, too gorgeous, too wild, and now, he wants me.

I should run far away. So why am I racing toward him?

I’m totally going to get burned. I know it. A man like Lorenzo won’t leave me unscathed.

He'll make ashes of me.

****Because You're Mine is NOT a dark romance! It is a 100% stand-alone novel. NO CLIFFHANGER!****

This particular narrator is very off-putting. Her voice is both annoying and monotone…DNF

Lost all its star because of the narrator. Do they check people out before having them read a whole books? If I only did audiobook and not physical copies as well this would be a first page DNF.

This was a different take on a mafia story. I wanted to love Loren and Cats relationship and the story had great potential but there were lots of plot holes and answers that led to more questions but were never answered.

A lot was going on and the conflict that affected Cat from the past to the present was too fleeting with little emotional distress. Cat just seemed to accept everything that was happening and be so forgiving for something that had a massive impact on her life and the relationships she has with people. Her encounters with Loren were limited and more time could have been spent with them together forming some foundation of a relationship. Their relationship was 50% sexual encounters and they met less than five times.

The storyline tried to hit many different points but just got a bit confused along the way. It could have been great but missed the mark.

I am struggling to get through this, the narrator sounds like a Simpsons character that hangs out at the bar, more like she’s 60 something rather than 20 something and doesn’t suit the character at all, unless I really dislike the character.

Good book .. nothing i haven't heard before. The female narrators voice is a bit annoying... She would be better at mid century romances

Very interesting and the narration was really good. A lot of up’s and downs but overall a really good listen.
