About this audiobook

The first time Cassio meets his fiancée, she calls him “sir.” After losing his wife, Cassio is left to take care of two small children while trying to establish his rule over Philadelphia. Now he needs a mother for his children and someone who can warm his bed at night. But in a world as traditional as his, choosing your wife is duty not pleasure.Rules have to be followed, traditions heeded. That’s how he ends up with a woman—a girl—barely of age. She may not be what he and his children need, but she’s lovely and a sweet temptation he can’t resist. Giulia has always known she’ll marry the man her father chose for her, but she never expects to be given to someone so much older. Suddenly she’s supposed to be a mother to two small children when she hasn’t even held a baby before.Giulia quickly realizes that Cassio isn’t interested in a relationship on equal footing. Her mother has warned her that men of power, like Cassio, don’t tolerate insolence. Tired of being treated as a nanny, Giulia decides to fight for her version of a happy family.

Great audio for a fantastic story! I really liked the narrators of this audio.
And the story...another fantastic mafia romance from Cora Reilly. Cassio and Giulia's story is filled with angst, uncertainty, love and hope.
Giulia is an amazing character. She is emotionally mature beyond her years. She is positive and hopeful, quirky and outspoken. She is the perfect balance to Cassio. He is one of the most feared Underbosses in the Famiglia. He is proof that even a very powerful and cruel man can be broken and can have self-esteem issues.
I loved the story as a whole, the characters, the plot, the angst, the writing style. A book worth reading in my opinion!

I loved this audiobook. The narration was perfectly suited to the characters. Mafia romance is a hard balancing act to pull off. This book gives you the perfect amount of hard/soft and heat.

I absolutely loved this book. This book really captivated me. I just had to keep listening until I finished! The age gap might be an issue for some, but if you keep remembering, Julia is 18, so technically, she was an adult. She seemed to be really smart and grown for her age. Definitely read this book! You won't be disappointed!!

It's one of my favorite Cora Reilly love stories. There's a dearness in it, and a reality in its themes of love and acceptance.

I really did like this book. The storyline was very good. The only thing I didn't understand was how Cassio was the Under-boss and Luca was a cappo. But it seemed like Luca had a higher rank. I always thought the Under-boss was over everyone except the boss. But I could be wrong.

I heard TERRIBLE reviews about this book, so I had to check it out for myself. Not sure what everyone was talking about, but I enjoyed it very much. It wasn't nearly as suspenseful and involved as other mafia romances out there, but I still enjoyed it.

Loved it! There's a good amount of emotional maturity involved (considering Giulia is 18) and it's not too angsty or threatening.

I really feel like this is probably the best mafia story I have read in quite a while. I loved the way the relationship revolved and it actually seemed like a true to life story honestly and the chemistry was pretty damn great I'll definitely read more by this author this was my first by her.

I looovvvveeeeedddd this book!! Cassio and Guilia had an easy love and it was nice to watch it unfold. To me this stand alone is better than all the twisted stories and should have been part of Luca's series.

Great story, but some big mistakes if this story really takes place in the US. We don't call diapers nappies, and we don't have tea time. Also the female narrator mispronounced several words. But I did love the story and I found myself quickly rooting for both the Hero and Heroine.

Loved it! I have enjoyed every part of it even though the mafia part wasn't included that much. What I love about this book is its characters and their development. The fact that Julia, as an 18 year old girl, was able to handle Cassio, a man in his 30s, was impressive. I admire how the author developed their relationship. I recommend this one.
