About this audiobook

Theater critic Artemus Bancroft isn’t sure what to expect when his aunt summons him home to California with vague but urgent pleas about being unable to cope with “the situation.”

The situation turns out to be the apparent haunting of Green Lanterns Inn—along with alarming rumors that long-suffering Auntie Halcyone may have murdered her philandering husband.

In fact, the rumors seem to have been started by the late Mr. Hyde himself—from beyond the grave.

I honestly couldn’t tell if there was a real ghost or not, that’s how well this story kept its secrets. Loved the characters, and the narrator did such a great job of bringing Artemus and his thoughts to life!

I've been bingeing Josh Lanyon lately, and this is my new favorite! Seance on a Summer's Night is so scary! Boy did this one keep me guessing!!! Artemus Bancroft is a wonderful lead character. He's very relatable, because we've all returned home to find nonsense afoot - but it's usually home repairs, not ghosts. Poor Aunt Halcyone is so sweet and loving and suddenly so mysterious. And Seamus does not sound like a real name to me :)

I listened to this book on Scribd. Matt Haynes was a wonderful narrator. His pacing, voices and accents were perfect.
