She graduated from Wake Forest University with a BA in English and French and received her MA in English from the College of William and Mary. She has taught at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA, the University of Vermont, Middlebury College, and the New England Young Writers Conference. Her poems, essays, and articles have been published in national journals and magazines. She lives in Alexandria, Virginia, but also lived in Vermont for many years and makes frequent visits to France. She likes to cook, garden, and travel, and writes about these and other adventures on her blog The Vermont Epicure.view less
