He has been lauded with numerous accolades, including the 2007 SAB Sport Photographer of the year, the 2010 Mondi Shanduka News Photography award, and was the Beeld photographer of the year in 2005. He was also the winner of the 2013 Standard Bank Sikuvile Awards for his photograph Mourning, capturing a memorial on a Marikana koppie, which appears in the photo section of this book.view less
