Treating a patient for back pain in 1989 led him to the concept that there was a structural basis to ME/CFS. He has spent over 30 years researching the medical facts and sifting the scientific evidence while successfully treating an increasing number of ME/CFS sufferers and teaching fellow osteopaths, chiropractors and physiotherapists the fundamentals of the Perrin Technique. For his service to osteopathy, Dr Perrin was appointed a vice-patron of the University College of Osteopathy (formerly the BSO) and was the winner of the inaugural Research and Practice Award from the Institute of Osteopathy in 2015.view less
