She married Kenneth Billingsley in 1948 and the couple raised a family of three boys, Lloyd, Phillip and Ralph. She instilled in them a love of reading.
For many years, Victoria Billingsley taught school in Windsor, Ontario, and many of her students are familiar with her letters to the Windsor Star. Now retired from teaching, she lives in McGregor, Ontario, where she gardens, plays the piano, reads Shakespeare, and goes for long walks through the countryside observing the birds and beasts of the realm.
