How To Be God’s Little Princess has a lot going on for it. Not only does it have a smash-up design (pink, sparkly cover, pink interior pages with playful drawings of modern-day princesses etc.) but it also contains content that every tween-age daughter-of-the-King will find enthralling. My newly turned eight-year-old absolutely loves her copy that we received to review. She pores over it and has even made herself a ‘princess notebook’ to do further research with and to take notes in. Filled with many fun features, this book includes instruction on manners, character, poise etc., quizzes, ‘What’s Wrong With This Picture’ drawings, and more. There are also fashion tips, home management tips (my daughter came up to me and said she needs to go through her clothes twice a year to do wardrobe management), fun ideas for hands-on activities and crafts, and even a scripture memorization system to help little princesses hide the word of their Father in their hearts. This is a fun instructional/activity book for 8 – 12 year olds. My daughter can’t recommend it enough. As a parent I like the content, advice, and character emphasis. Some of the girls in the drawings wear their skirts and dresses much shorter than we are comfortable with our daughter’s wearing, but other than that, this is a sweet and cute book.Reviewed at quiverfullfamily.com

Sheila co-hosted The 700 Club and her own show Heart to Heart with Sheila Walsh. She is currently completing her Masters in Theology. My daughter, grand-daughter and I just adored this book. The girls just LOVE to be interactive and this book includes their thoughts while teaching them the proper etiquette and manners enabling them to be beautiful inside and out. I can already see a difference in my daughter, for the first time EVER she allowed her brother the choice of games to play instead of exerting her own control over the situation.I also enjoyed answering the girls questions concerning God and being able to reinforce his love of them. Their little faces were beaming and I swore I could see God shining through them. I love how 'How To Be God's Little Princess' is FULL of positive reinforcements, on every page, in every paragraph your child is reminded that they are truly loved and are absolutely perfect just the way they are.I would LOVE to see a book for boys "How To Be God's Little Prince", my son would have participated but everything was for girls and he got a little perturbed and I had to tell him that God loves him too and listed all the reasons why (I just read a few pages from the book and used the masculine for it, he seemed pleased).A very sweet book for the little princess in your life reinforcing the good in your young ones while reminding them of God's love with biblical quotes to support this fact.

THE PRINCESS WAY

Look in the mirror! Who is staring back? A princess. And she is you! You’re growing up, life is changing, and you’re excited to see what’s going to happen next. At the same time, you’re being placed in new—and sometimes confusing—situations. I’m sure there are some days when you feel like shouting out loud, I love my life! and other days when you want to crawl under the covers and not come out until Christmas.

Let’s face it, being a princess is not as easy as some might think. What should you do if someone hurts your feelings? Or what if you are having a bad day and say something that you later regret? What is a princess to do? !

I have some wonderful news for you. That’s where grace comes in. What is grace? Grace is God’s free gift of unconditional love poured out on all His princesses. That means you are as loved on your good days as on your bad days. It means that there is nothing in the entire world that can keep you from God’s love or keep His love from you. The best news of all is that when you are God’s princess you don’t have to get it right all the time. Being God’s princess, is not about being perfect, it’s about being perfectly loved. So whether you have all your ducks in a row or whether your ducks went to the fair, ate too much, and fell asleep—you are loved, you are loved, you are loved!

And now . . . drumroll, please . . . let’s take a look at all the things a princess might need to know.

Royal Advisors

Kindness, manners, and etiquette are tools to help you be self-confident in most situations. But how does a princess learn all these things? She turns to her royal advisors to help her know the perfect thing to do, say, and wear for every occasion. You have royal advisors too. Your advisors might be your mother or dad, or a grandmother or aunt, or all of them—seek out your royal advisors for answers. And discover the secrets of becoming a perfectly polite princess.

HOW TO DRESS

LIKE A PRINCESS

9781400316441_INT_0015_001

Aroyal gown might be perfect for an elegant party, but it sure makes it difficult to skate. That’s why, whenever possible, a princess considers where she’s going and what she’ll do before choosing her clothing, shoes, jewelry—even hairstyle. Then she makes sure everything is clean, fits, and is ready to go when she is.

The Lord makes me very happy. All that I am rejoices in my God. The Lord has covered me with clothes of salvation. He has covered
