From the Heart - Crystal Linn
Preface
Several years ago, a dear friend, Sue, asked if I would write a positive, uplifting devotional book for women. We discussed me writing 365 pages, one year’s worth, of inspiration and nurturing thoughts to share with other women. After exploring the possibility we decided that I would proceed. Then, as with most good ideas, life intervened and pushed this idea to the side, for a while.
Here we are, several years later, with a book better than the original one we discussed. It contains entries for thirty days and includes inspirational, nurturing thoughts from several women. All of these women are living full lives and are gifted writers. It is an honor for me to publish their works—for many, it is their first time being published. It was a joy to work with them.
Thank you, ladies, for your contributions; and thank you, Sue, for believing in me.

Preface
to the
eBook edition
When I think about all of the positive feedback we received from people who read, From the Heart-volume I, I feel both humbled and honored. While we wanted the book to help and encourage others, I am amazed at the extent it has inspired so many.
I am thrilled that Ray Ruppert of Tex Ware Publishing (Everett, WA) is willing to work with me to transform, From the Heart-volume I, into an eBook. It is our prayer that as an eBook it will be able to encourage and uplift even more people.
We are beginning to lay the groundwork for the compilation of, From the Heart – volume II, as we want to give more people the opportunity to be published and for their words to inspire people everywhere.

Today’s adults are on the go constantly. We are being bombarded by continual information and to-do lists. Society has given us the idea that if we don’t have a fast- paced, technology-infused life for our children and ourselves we must be doing something wrong.
But what has all of the fast-paced and tech-savvy
