From the Editor
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
~ Leo Buscaglia ~

It is a branch off from Angels Cried, to continue to bring hope and inspiration to others. We are concerned writers, poets and authors who want to voice our support and encouragement. As creative Unified Literary Artists this is our expression through the avenue of literature. To aid and show our solidary to the survivors and the loved ones those were taken too early. This anthology was created to aid all survivors on the road to healing and recovery.

Introduction
Adversity Inspires Service
Author Tom Ulfert
Miracles happen every day...if we only take the time to see them!
I take this quote from my book, Adversity Builds Character (see link below) to express the notion that great things happen in our lives every day. Far too often life gets in our way and we are so busy that these little moments
are lost. When we take the time to reflect upon our blessings and the tragic misfortunes of others, it becomes evident that our lives are truly blessed. It is at these moments that we are inspired to become the noble creatures God so intended and there in strive to make the world a better place.
For me a near fatal car accident and the realization of a life afflicted with three different disabilities forced me into self-reflection and an awakening to the blessings of so many second chances. Therefore, I became determined to pay it forward
and help others cope with the adversities of their lives. This past week I could not help but be moved by the endless number of unsung heroes that ran into the face of danger to help their fellow man during the tragedy in Boston.
Marathon volunteers, first responders, spectators, and others rushed into still smoldering bomb sites to rescue the injured. Thinking not of themselves but of their fellow human beings to lend life saving assistance. These acts of courage were magnified by the endless number of law enforcement and military personnel that sought out the perpetrators in a concerted effort to levy justice for the victims and secure essential security for the Boston metropolitan area. Heroism like this begs the question of what did you do for your fellow man today?
The social adversity experienced this past week in Boston rebuilt the character of our nation. All across America a unified resounding proclamation of Boston Strong
reinvigorated our national sense of pride and re-emphasized the once cherished claim to be a shining light in a
