Krissie Gault

Hello! My name is Krissie Gault. Currently, I'm an art student pursuing a degree in Animation. I've loved writing down my stories since I figured out that I could when I was 8. After thinking about publishing some of my work, I came to Smashwords. I live with my grandparents in a small house with a big yard. I draw inspiration from the things around me and the dreams I have.

    About the Author

    A Headache is a Headache

    A headache is a headache

    From which I’d rather run

    Disconnecting. Reconnecting.

Is my life all said and done.

Now nothing but a frayed cord,

    Wonder why I’m so bored.

    Looking at the world around,

    Having nowhere to be bound

Feeling the pressure in my head

I think I’d rather be dead!

It would be a lot better than standing here.

It would be a lot better than sitting here.

    Finding ones’ place is hard.

How long I’ve wanted to end it all.

    Walk into the sea.

    I can no longer breathe.

    The red liquid holds me.

    It’s warm at first,

    But soon it’ll crust over

    Dry up.

    It will happen eventually.

    Drowning in my own sorrows.

    Staring blankly

    Am I even there?

    Am I even here?

    Where am I even at?

    As the whole world stares

    Down the rabbit hole

    We’re all heading.

To forget our pains and our joys

To forget it all and play with their toys

    Life was once peaceful.

    Life was once grand.

    Life was once something more.

    Now it’s not.

    Life is torture.

    Life is struggling.

    Life is hell.

    Boredom will kill me eventually.

I have no interest in it at all

    I’ll try to stand tall.

    I’ll fall.

    I’ll hit the wall.

    I’ll struggle to crawl.

    Where is the air?

    Struggle to breathe.

Life will soon reach its end.

The type rope is sure to snap.

The scissors are sure to cut.

The knives are sure to stab.

This body is sure to decay.

Maybe than I shall be free?

Will something finally catch my interest?

    A headache is a headache

    From which I’d rather run.

    Disconnecting. Reconnecting.

Is my life all said and done.
